9.0 – Welcome

You’re so well on your way, dearest one.

You’ve done a few Reiki healing sessions, explored what it means to heal, and now I want to anchor you into what it really means to be a healer in the world.

Hint: It’s not about how you hold others.
It’s about how you hold yourself.

The more grounded, whole, and resourced you are, the safer and more impactful your presence becomes. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about having your needs met and knowing how to care for yourself, especially when the work brings up your “stuff” (and it will).

Let’s start with a gentle activation:

Prioritizing your own healing isn’t selfish. It’s a solid strategy for being a great healer. The more whole you are, the less judgment you hold, the less you shy away from truth, and the clearer you’ll see what’s right in front of you.

The more your needs are met—sleep, food, hydration, a sense of home, good relationships—the more you can show up as a safe and clear presence.

As you grow in your practice, you’ll notice that working with others doesn’t just activate transformation in them—it activates it in you, too.

When your unhealed stuff vibrates in resonance with someone else’s, it’s not a sign that you’re not healed enough and can’t do this work. It’s simply part of the process. How you care for yourself afterward is the single determinant factor of whether you can do this work long term or not.

This module is about staying embodied and grounded during sessions, knowing how to process afterward, and building rhythms of care that sustain you as a healer. It’s also about learning how to navigate those moments when you can’t share what you’ve seen or felt with the receiver—finding ways to let it out and move through it anyway.

Being a healer isn’t just about holding space for others. It’s about holding space for yourself, too.

In the next lessons, we’ll cover:

  • Building a Strong Foundation: How meeting your basic needs creates safer spaces for others.
  • Staying Embodied and Grounded: Practical tools to protect your energy and stay present.
  • After-Care Practices: Clearing, restoring, and processing your energy after sessions.

Let’s dive in.
