Energy space is an inner, meditative space where the usual rules of time and space don't apply — a place where your subconscious mind becomes visible. It's the interface between your conscious mind and your unconscious mind. Your unconscious speaks to you through sensation, through image, through phrases, and energy space is where you interact with that. If your aim is to heal at deep levels, if your aim is to gain awareness of how you're operating at an unconscious level and actually shift it, you cannot get around energy space. It's an inner playground where you shift subconscious beliefs, inner frameworks, and help the parts of you that are struggling, or in shadow, heal.
A real example: the word "money"
Here's how it works. Say I say the word money to you — what do you notice happens in your experience? That's the question we ask in energy space: come in with a topic, an inquiry, and notice what happens. Let's say your gut, your solar plexus, tightens up. That's a message from the unconscious — an energy block, an awareness that hasn't resolved yet. With curiosity and care, you inquire: what is this tightness? What's happening here? Even without knowing what each chakra is about, bringing curiosity and care to that area often makes it expand, and it lets you know what it's carrying. Maybe the tightness says: I don't feel in control with money. I feel a little unsafe, a little overwhelmed. That's something that was living in the unconscious, shaping your reality, now arriving in consciousness — in energy space, where you can actually work with it.
The knock at the door
Energy space is full of metaphor and myth, and the images that arrive there are genuinely useful to work with. Using the same money example: imagine you're in a room, hanging out, and there's a knock on the door — and you know, somehow, that the knock is money, wanting to come into your experience. Now you've got a framework set up, and you can watch how it evolves. Maybe you run and open the door, embrace money, and you've got a wonderful relationship. Or maybe money's knocking, and you hide under the couch — cowering in terror. That's not a conscious, logical response. But it can be exactly how your energy is running when it comes to money.
Look under the couch
So that's where you get to work. Ask the version of you under the couch: how come you're so scared? What's going on? And they might answer — well, if I open the door to money, I'm going to have so many more responsibilities, and people are going to want things from me all the time. Something from the unconscious has come forward and become clear, and now you can work to actually change the deep-rooted belief underneath it. In energy space, you are the one in control of this world — it's your creation. So maybe you ask: what would make it more comfortable for you to receive money? Maybe the answer is that it would help if it were invisible, if nobody else got to know. So you place the room, and the money, inside an invisible bubble where nobody can bug you — and you check: are you willing to open the door now? Maybe. But something about the invisibility bubble feels shady, secretive, not quite right. So instead, you strengthen your capacity to say yes or no to other people's requests, based on your own values and your own sovereignty. And now you can open the door without it feeling secretive — when somebody asks you for something, you can stand upright and say, happily, I'd love to honor that request, or no thank you, move along.
All of that happens inside, usually with your eyes closed. And once you've shifted the energy in your subconscious, you can go back out into the world — and next time somebody wants to give you money, for a job, for anything, you can feel calm receiving it, instead of overriding some inner desire to hide under the couch.
Two rules for working in energy space
One: this is your world, your creation — you get to make it however you want. Two: always approach with curiosity and care. Without curiosity and care, your inner mind isn't going to want to show you what's actually going on.
Without curiosity and care, your inner mind is not going to want to show you what is going on.
